Yes, it is free to attend. We welcome one and all to our family friendly event!
Christmas in Excelsior is located on historic Water Street in Excelsior, Minnesota, between Lake Street and Third Street.
There is a ramp between Second and Third Streets, a lot behind the brewery, and street parking throughout the village of Excelsior.
There will be a combination of paid and unpaid parking, but the ramp and the lot behind the brewery will be FREE to park.
Yes, it is outdoors. Please dress for the weather — Minnesota can be extreme!
The event is accessible for strollers, wheelchairs and walkers but keep in mind snow may be an issue. If possible, try to limit stroller use.
There are porta-potties located on Second Street, east of Water Street.
While we love dogs, we ask that you leave your pups at home for the day. There are huskies and other animals at the event who can easily be excited by dogs walking past.
Absolutely! There is an area called Frosty’s Funland for Kids, which features outdoor games, not to mention a chance to visit with Santa and participate in Christmas crafts. There will also be strolling carolers, live musicians on the music stage, and carriage rides. Plus, in the Kids activity tent, we will be offering face painting and hair tinsel.
Yes, we will be serving Fireball Hot Toddy’s and Spiced Cider for purchase, and there will be several food trucks on site. In addition, the many restaurants lining Water Street will be open, and several will have specials on food and drinks specifically for the event. If you plan to dine in one of the restaurants in Excelsior, we recommend making reservations in advance, as they will be extremely busy.
The event is produced by the Excelsior Lions, part of the Lions Club International, whose purpose is to serve those in need.
100% of the net proceeds of money raised at Christmas in Excelsior is donated to local charities.
First aid, emergency responders and Lost and Found will be located on Second Street in the First Aid tent.
